Mañeru to Villamayor

I will keep this post short with just some small descriptions and pictures. Today I walked about 27km to a small town in a hilly wine region. We passed multiple points of interest including the wine fountain that the Camino Frances is known for. I didn’t get many pictures today. I am spending more time in my personal journal. I think I have put emphasis on finding friends and people to be with in the first five days, but tomorrow I will likely walk alone. Despite the blisters, I plan to walk as far as my body and feet will allow me.

Beautiful scenery again. Nice. Seems like you are covering a lot of ground each and every day, like 16-20 miles daily. Terrific. However, take care of those blisters. Getting an infection will be very bad.

Having said that I remember being on a week long hike in the High Sierras and got blisters the first day. Cleaning them out and putting bandages and moleskin on saved the day. No problems after that.

Thanks for the birthday 🥳 wishes. Cheers.

Remy Thank you for sharing your pilgrimage with us. I am enjoying your insight and pictures. If you have access to Vaseline or something similar use it on your blisters.
